but for just over $1000 more, you can get 425 hp in a Dodge Magnum or Charger SRT/8. Not really a performace "bargain" anymore.
Having driven all three of the SRT-8 triplets, I can tell you that you don't feel that power in them. I drove a Chrysler 300C SRT-8 back-to-back with a Volvo V70R, and the Volvo
felt more powerful, better composed, and quicker. I love the styling of the Chryslers, but the build quality and materials are laughable.
Will this new SHO be the hot ticket 30 years from now, as the SRT-8s will be? I highly doubt it. But will this car be the better buy, I'd say yes - and it pains me to say that, because I love Chrysler (I used to sell them back in the DaimlerChrysle
r days). Crank up the boost in this new SHO, and I bet you could wring some impressive numbers from it (as if 365 horsepower from a stock Ford Taurus isn't impressive).
