And dodge maybe 1k more, but its a v8 (worse gas mileage), and I probably wouldn't be buying a dodge right now seeing how they might not be around much longer and the quality is for lack of a better word... shit. I would take this over a magnum or charger any day.

I never said it looked sexy, but it def looks better than this bland POS. I don't see why Ford is trying to make a performance sedan when they have a "sports car" that never wins any kind of comparison.

Maybe cuz its the #1 selling pony car. They started the category, everyone else got out and now they are getting back in. The new stang is just lackin a lil in the hp department but that should change when the drop the ecoboost in it...

go look up the statistics as to how many of those sales are v6, and then compare that to the gender of the average buyer of the car, and all of a sudden it will all be clear.

I'm sorry but to me this whole car is laughable. The original SHO was a good car, when it was new, but you have to understand im younger than you guys by a bit, so to me, the vision of an SHO is a run down piecer with body panels that aren't quite attached driving down by the dollar theater and what not.

That being said, the point of the SHO was that it is what the WRX was to my generation, the "cheap" fast car.

When i read the new one will have a base price in the high 30's i almost spewed mtn dew on my screen.

IMO anyone who pays 39k for that needs to be smacked hard in the face.

Is it going to come with a six speed manual? That was one cool thing about the old SHOs(they were 5 speed).The SHO (Shit Hot Oldpeople) was a meager means of the downtrodden over worked father to have a gilmmer of youth in an other wise luke warm full sized sedan... These are the ones with a spark of life left in them... when that died out they got kia minivans...

Yeah. Maybe they are just trying to spark the interest of the middle-aged croud that had the original when they were 18-20 who's wives won't let them get a Charger or whatever. Either way it's just another sad attempt to compete. The original SHO was developed by yamaha and seeing as Ford can't build a performance car for shit(yeah GT-500KR with a shit ton of power that it can't do anything with) maybe they should've contracted this one out again.

And yes its not cheap anymore but its also not the midsize car segment it was originally in, now its in the large car size market... think of it in the same size as the maxima, chrysler 300, toyota avalon, etc. Thats part of the pricing too. Its gonna rule its segment I bet though.

Having driven all three of the SRT-8 triplets, I can tell you that you don't feel that power in them. I drove a Chrysler 300C SRT-8 back-to-back with a Volvo V70R, and the Volvo felt more powerful, better composed, and quicker. I love the styling of the Chryslers, but the build quality and materials are laughable.

Will this new SHO be the hot ticket 30 years from now, as the SRT-8s will be? I highly doubt it. But will this car be the better buy, I'd say yes - and it pains me to say that, because I love Chrysler (I used to sell them back in the DaimlerChrysle r days). Crank up the boost in this new SHO, and I bet you could wring some impressive numbers from it (as if 365 horsepower from a stock Ford Taurus isn't impressive).

ahhhh yes, but if you want a car that does not look like aids and you like you car to have an interior that was made out of something more substantial than used tootise roll wrappers, you might want to go with the Ford. There is NOTHING in the Dodge/ MOPAR line that impresses me even a tiny bit, their quality is... well quality is not even the right word, they just suck.

You should look up other pics of this car and the interior... different angles really do it more justice. The interior looks pretty good imo. Most of the crowd in here is more angled towards sport hatches and coupes than these types of cars anyway. Its better than any of the prior taurus' thats for sure.
