   So i was on my to DIA yesterday with my wife in are audi a4 ,  and noticed a green audi almost run into a 4runner so i keeped on trucking minding my own business will i'm in the fast lane about to pass a semi when this guy (green audi A6 colorado lic# 530 rlc)
flys up next to us and just comes over into my lane forcing me into the median since the asshole that was behind me had speed up to block the audi in, well i slap that bitch down a few gears and take off after him well it dosen't take long and i'm right next to him and he is acting like i'm not there or that he sent me into the grass/snow/dirt well, my wife says go on he isn't worth it so i down shift again and am on my way up to 90 mph and this guy is now pacing me well he mash's his gas and does the same shit to me again well at this point i'm half way on and off the road flying down the median with this guy is still acting like he owns the road well he finally pulls over and at this point ptsd is kicking in and i'm ready to kill this mf'er well i follow him up to i225 all the whil my wife is on the phone with highway patrol ( which they do nothing) and i see this guy almost hit 3 other cars doing to same shit everytime so if you see this car watch out he might try to take u out on the highyway or call me i'll be glad to beat his ass

i had  a guy do that to me on 25 headed to denver to see a show at the lions lair with brandon, a friend of mine....... then the guy had the audacity to start yelling at me like i did something wrong.

i grabbed brandon's hand put it on the wheel leaned out of my car started pounding on his passenger window with my fists.....was about that time his girl (passenger) started screaming at him and he slammed on the breaks came to a complete stop ..... i pulled over, got out jack handle in hand and he peeled out down the road and took the next exit without even breaking. pussy.

moral: watch out who you fuck with on the road.

Ditto. It seemed to start around the beginning of the holiday season but hasn't let up yet. I hope people chill out. It's getting really annoying dealing with the people that zip in and out of traffic along with the people that try to "police" the roads. The past couple of weeks have given me several candidates from both sides to introduce to a jack handle.

That doesn't bother me as much anymore mainly because they don't really slow up traffic that much (still bothers me when they cut in without using a turn signal. It's like not using lube...). It's the clueless dooffuses that don't bother to read the signs saying "this lane ends X feet" and stop in the middle of traffic with their turn signal on expecting you to let them in. All I can think then is "Sorry, You had a merge lane that you chose not to use. Now you have to wait for a big enough break in traffic, or a person nicer than me, to let you in. Consequences suck huh?" Depending on the circumstance, I'll let one person merge in front of me per "merge event". After that it's up to the people behind me.

I'll generally allow enough space for someone to merge in as well.  Unless of course they were already in the correct lane and popped out to pass as many cars as possible before trying to force themselves in.  That's the crap I was talking about.

Its not so much as the lane ending runners, but those fucks that see 2 miles up that there is road construction, and that the right / left lane is closed. Then they see all of the non-failed abortions sitting in the open lane and decide to try and run all the way down the closed lane until they hit the construction.. . I like to park in the closed lane, and keep up with my space just for those shitheads.

So, back to Vet's original complaint.  Does someone running you into the ditch twice warrant use of that concelaed carry permit.  I mean, once could be an accident, twice means he's using his car as a "weapon" and deserves to have both back tires shot out at a minimum.

Who cares what Johnny law says, something like this would just go to court regardless. He was using a deadly weapon and obviously attacked you. I think that warrants self defense, and if you obviously tried not to kill him (shooting out tires) any lawyer should be able to get you off. Only thing I can see sticking is discharge of a firearm within city limits. One call to the NRA should net you a damn fine lawyer too.

So, I was driving up 25 to denver and this jackoff goes to pass me and runs me into the median.  I thought is wsa intentional, but I figured I'd let it go.  Then, after I passed him safely a few miels later, he sped past me and ran me into the median again.  This time, I knew it was intentional, so I pulled out my H&K .45 and blew out both of his back tires.  Why did I shoot out his back tires you ask.  He used his car as a weapon twice, I wasn't about to let him do it again...

My philosophy on this:

1) Stay away from asshole drivers.
2) The moment you retaliate, you're one too.
3) This is CO, anybody could be packing heat - so let it go.

1) Plenty of people have done douchy moves by me. I've had people brake check me, try to run me off the road, even had one guy try to beat me/my car with a baseball bat. Sometimes you just can't get away from them immediately, but I've never been able to lose someone eventually.

2) Speeding up to "make them pay" or "give them a taste of their own medicine" or anything of that ilk makes you just as bad, if you do any of that stuff.

3) In CO your car is legally an extension of your home, and you can therefore legally carry any firearm you legally own in your car without a CCW permit. You never know just which drivers are packing, so it's best to just follow rule #1.

I'm trying to think of the name of a movie I saw with my dad when I was a kid. It involved some dude traveling in a car and this guy in a semi develops a huge problem with him. The whole movie is the truck driver trying to kill this guy and ends up driving off a cliff at the end. I was 6 when I saw it so I don't remember much, but it seems fitting for this thread.

Don't get me wrong, I don't even own a gun.  Well, that Red Ryder bb gun doesn't count right?  So I don't have any intentions to "show them" that way or any other.  Most of people who know me would tell you I am a bit non-confrontationalist.  My typical response to an idiot driver, that is trying to piss me off, is to smile and wave.  That tends to have more impact than returning the aggession.  Although, I did have my one road rage event when I was about 18, but that ended in me passing them in the center/turn lane, brake checking them, and driving off... 

As for josh's rule #1, it seems 101stvet tried that, agressively or not, and the a-hole driver chose to not let himself be avioded.

and the fact that he almost hit me and three other cars i'm thinking he was drunk, and i am one of those who carries a gun ( baby eagle .45) but this is only due to being mugged 3 times in cali so i feel i need it, but i am calm enough to know shooting someone for something likes this isn't worth time in prison.

 also i'm use to road rage and seeing it i drove 70 miles on a 4 lane parking lot in the bay area and those are some of the worse drivers around plus angry
 so i guess just watch out and take each incident by a case by case
