I did not know that. My coworker was a taxi driver for quite awhile and was very well-known by the others in the area for his driving skill. Plus the taxi cars were crown vics. I dunno if there's a different diff in the back of police cars or if it's cuz of the suspension or what, but he loves taking entrance and exit ramps a lot faster than you should and the back end will hang in there then *poof* let go. No slight screech of tires or real body lean. Then again, he really doesn't drive like a normal person, so your results may vary.

Even his older gen vic gets looks from people and it doesn't have anything on it besides dark windows. I can see why you'd want to make it look more cop like for shits and giggles, but I can't understand why you'd want to soup it up.

Ever since I saw this article in Car and Driver a long time ago, I've wanted to do one just like it -

Interesting article

I know very little of the late model Interceptor/Crown Vic models.... I do remember that my grand parents had a crown vic in the early 90s (don't recall the model year, late 80s?), and to this day I thought it was an utter pile.  then I remember them trading in and "upgrading" to a Grand Marquis.... I think my Grandfather had convinced himself it was a "luxury" car.  Now, his '96 Caddy was a beast... had the V8 engine found in the Corvette, now that thing hauled ass.
