Yep - nice show.  Props to volunteers for making it happen and Nate for running the damned thing all day long on the mic (plus all the pre-planning). 

There were some cool cars and it was good to catch up with people.  Particularly, the Pointer (VW Pickup) for sale.  I am trying hard not to buy it.  Los - your car is looking good.  I know my Mk3 will never be that clean or cool, but it's nice to see the potential.  Got passed on the interstate by a Notchback doing 80mph easy.  Talked to him later - nice guy, obviously built motor.  Some cool vans, syncro westy turbodiesel vanagon, early Scirocco autocrosser, the old Dasher (think it may have hurt itself on the dyno), etc etc.  Too bad some of you guys are so far away.

I know right, we had a shit ton of Air Cooleds come through.  I worked the registration tent most of the day until Pete came to relieve me so I could go broke on the raffle.  I judged the Audi classes after that.  We had to jet before all of the trophies where handed out.  Who ended up winning the King Of The Mountain?  Let me know when we do that run on staff shirts, I definitely need to grab a few.

Nate was calling my name several times throughout the drawings, but it was for other things.  I didn't fill out any surveys and only bought 2 raffel tickets.  I didn't put my name on the tickets either so I don't think I missed anything though.
