I can't for the life of me understand why people list shit online and then don't fucking respond to interested parties that email them.  This shit happens to me all the time.

To make matters worse I made arrangements to go buy something from somebody tomorrow and the stupid sun of a bitch sold it out from underneath me after I agreed to buy it.
To make matters even worse I was prepared to buy and pickup the item in question Wednesday night but the seller wanted to wait until tomorrow due to time constraints on his part.  Needless to say I am madder than a raging motherfucker right now.

I never finished telling the rest of my adventures from last weekend.

I made arrangements to go look at something that was 100 miles (one way from me) down south. I made sure ahead of time to get plenty of pictures and immediately gassed up and got on the road so I wouldn't miss out on the deal.

Much to my surprise when I arrive at the guy's house it becomes painfully obvious that the pictures he sent me were probably 3 years old and the item was actually in terrible fucking condition    Needless to say a 200 mile round trip worth of gas and an entire Sunday afternoon wasted for nothing.  I was not happy.  So yeah....last weekend sucked

I just drove a 100 mile round trip this morning to look at a boat I found advertised on craigslist.  I asked the seller several questions about the boat over the course of the last few days.  I was specifically told that the boat ran fine and there were no mechanical issues.
When I get there to look at it in person I start talking about starting it up... guy is like... oh yeah I forgot to tell you that that engine block is cracked and the crankcase is full of water... but it runs
I literally walked to my truck and just drove off

I just drove a 100 mile round trip this morning to look at a boat I found advertised on craigslist.  I asked the seller several questions about the boat over the course of the last few days.  I was specifically told that the boat ran fine and there were no mechanical issues.
When I get there to look at it in person I start talking about starting it up... guy is like... oh yeah I forgot to tell you that that engine block is cracked and the crankcase is full of water... but it runs

So far, every "deal" I've come across on CL has never turned out to be a deal at all. Been looking at cheap winter beaters and many sound pretty good in the ads. When I contact the person, then I find out about cracked windshields, missing windows, missing mirrors, electrical gremlins and so on.

"Yeah, runs great, I used to use it every day to commute 100mi to work each way and it never let me down. Oh yeah, it needs new tires and a new battery and I think there's a small short in one of the lines because when you use the turn signal the horn honks. Also, the tranny sometimes has trouble shifting into gear and the o2 sensor needs to be replaced. Oh, and sometimes it stalls out when it gets warm but it'll start right back up again when it cools down. What do you expect, it's a $900 car."

Thanks buddy, but I know where I can find lawn ornaments for a lot less than $900.

Unfortunately it wasn't nearly as dramatic.  I was frustrated but still maintained my cool    Plus I quit smoking back in February 08 

Unless I find an actual good deal real soon I'm probably gonna hold off on a boat and hopefully get a good deal on something this winter.
