haha yeah at 12 psi a local guy with a 3.0 is having traction problem around 12psi....  She's definitely faster than my old 1.8T after everything done to it with the stock turbo

My TB took a shit... Idles erratic

17828 SAI electrical malfunction ....disregard since I'll be deleting this
16894 Closed Throttle Position Switch (F60) malfunction P0510-35-10
16497 Intake Air temp sensor(G42) Signal too high P0113-35-10

My gettho vagcom

So I picked up a used mk3 TB with the sensor... I'll put it on while waiting for my intercooler pipes.

My matching wheels came and the momo to nardi adapter

I couldn't find it, I already ordered 2.5" intercooling pipings and I will try to fit the atp core. It's 3x6x27?? I think.   The kit was a blast at 7psi and I could definitely tell the difference with that small extra 2psi ... I can't wait to run 10-11psi which is the limit of the #30 injectors just need the cooling.

I'm thinking about doing this one  http://www.alcohol-injection.com/water-injection-kits-1/volkswagen-47/volkswagen-stage-2-248.html  instead of an intercooler.  But that's another thing to worry about.

The futrell intercooler is the bigest wate of money i have ever seen. Just for everyones knowledge, small very ineffecient core with bad flowing inlets and outlets.

Its great and all that it bolts under a stock bumper, but you can make a REAL intercooler fit under the same thing

There was a rumor back in the day that he had the fastest 1.8t in Colorado.  ;)

Installed the fmic

Made a custom billet bracket lol

While cutting off a little part of the radiator rebar I cut into the small pipe on the condenser and refrigerant leaked.... Just hope jbweld will hold up.

Nice! If it was me I'd put black mesh over the space between the fogs to hide the IC a little for the total sleeper look.

Thanks, yeah I was actually thinking about some black mesh to hide the fmic or paint it black but I don't know if that would have an effect on cooling anyway the intercooler is definitely doing it's job though.  I was kinda going for the clean look but I guess it's impossible if you are turboed.

Running 7psi but  I still need to replace my maf then I'll set her to 10-11psi.

i read, or was told once that painting an IC will affect it's cooling capabilities.. .. you might want to research it a bit before you go that route.....

maybe powder coating is the way to go.... cant remember exactly

Paint acts like an insulator, keeping the heat in the intercooler. Powder coating goes on thicker so it insulates more. A light coating of paint shouldn't hurt, at least no more than the flow restriction of black mesh put in front of it. I'd say paint the end tanks first and see how it looks.
