Hey All,

Another newbie joining the group... I've got a blue 2001 Audi S4.     A friend told me about this group and told me to join b/c i want to make my car real nice but i dont know hardly anything about cars.  I just like them.  I graduated from UCCS last year.  My cat converter is bad on my car so i just want to replace the whole exhaust system and get somethin nice.  any ideas?  I'd like to put it on myself (or with some help) so i need somethin easy to put on...

I will preach that, especially the s4.  I used to drive a santorin blue s4, anyways, id be happy to answer any questions you have about the car.  Most of these guys know as much or more than i do as well, so dont hesitate to ask.

As for exhausts.  Milltek is definitely good, also take a look at APR's exhausts.  They're a bit less expensive, but have a great exhaust note, and are good quality.  Plus, if you pick up a pair of diverter valves and some APR software with it, you will have a seriously quick ride.

Also.  Start a new turbo's fund right now.  Im suspecting the car is probably fairly high miles due to age, so they're gonna take a dump pretty soon.

A fresh graduate, so how frustrated are you with finding a new job?  I just finished grad school and can't find anything that requires less than 10 years of experience. 

Milltek is def. a nice way to go, I just got that for my A4 and love it.  But it was on the more expensive side though so I've got a little regret. 

Oh and if you're ugly we don't want you to log on again.....ever .

I've had it for 2 years.  it's up there with the miles too cuz i drive it everyday from the south side of the springs to interquest - 130,000mi.  i was worried about the turbos when i first bought it, but i guess i'm jus hopin for the best.  how much are they to replace anyway?  like 2 grand?  but anyway, i haven't had any problems with it yet other than routine maintenance.  Now u guys got me all worried about it  

where did you just graduate grad school from?  I ran into the same problem - all the jobs wanted experience!  that was frustrating but i finally landed one doing finance for Lockheed luckily.  I'll post pics of my car in a couple days - i just bought some new rims for it so I want to take some new pics after i get them on.  (and everyone is probly gonna make fun of me for putting chrome on a S4, but i think they'll look good hehe)

Thanks for the advice on exhausts too!  I'll check out Milltek and APR.  I already know APR cuz I want to get a chip from them once i get the $$$ (since i'm gonna spend it all on rims and an exhaust system).

billy boat(Apr) exhaust is ok..milltek is ,but if you ghost audizine you will probably find someone getting rid of mtm which is way better

Colorado Tech Online.  Yeah, all the jobs that I've applied for want 10-15 years experience.    Did u go to school for finance?  Or was it just something that would hold you over until something better comes along?

Well, i guess it will be only more, completely un-needed proof that audi people have no taste in wheels lol.

The turbo's themselves usually run around 2-3k, then you have other things you should probably do while you're down there, intercoolers, etc.  Id probably figure 6k on the safe side if you have the install done somewhere.

APR sucks
Milltek sucks worse than APR

eyelids and clear tail lights look good on the S4's.  LLtek and Reiger make some sick ass body kits....
turbos are cheap.....don't let these guys try to scare ya.
