I would absolutely love to own an UrQuattro, especially a sport.  Those cars are one of the greatest ever made.

There is something about ugly 80's car that I just love, probably the fact that everyone thinks they're ugly.  I also like cars that make you actually drive them, modern day cars are too posh and easy to drive for me.  I don't like ABS, ESP, and all that crap.  I really don't even like powersteering all that much.  I like mechanical clutch linkages and all that.  Damn, now I really miss my 84 GTI.

exactly.  im getting tired of the mkiv, and the mkv's are ugly as sin, they look like toyotas. same with the new audis (except for the S5 and the R8 god those are sexy), they dont really appeal to me like the old german box on wheels.  if my mkiv didnt need so much work to get it in a sellable condition id dump it and get a older audi or a mkii

yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the mk5 either.  The audis are ok, I can forgive them all their poshness as they are a luxury brand.  I love the look of the new TT's, I just wish i could get one with almost no interior or refinements.  A stripped down GT3 version so to speak.  that would be awesome.

Going back to the car that started this thread, ooooooo weeeeeeeee---
That is a damn fine example of a Ur Quattro with sport quat hood & front bumper. A car that deserves to have the wheels driven off of it! The wheels are period correct white is the sexiest (gold was the other option) and personally I kind of don't get into the gold bit. What would make that car just freekin awesome, is if the owner ditched the 10v turbo for the always appropriate 20v turbo- which due to availability would have to come out of an early S4. This car makes me want to go the the boys room &  :blow-up: in that uh, nevermind....
About 3 years ago I saw a green Ur that had been given some of the body treatments (hood/ wheels/square headlights) of the Sport Quat., the car was mostly clean- a solid driver for sure and the cat was asking $12,500. I sure thought hard about buying a plane ticket to Oregon for that one. The coupe GT, the Ur, and of course the coveted Sport Quattro ware all beautiful examples of the better points of styling that came from the Michael Jackson decade.
.....brings a tear to my eye, thanks for posting this beautiful car-- it migh even be insiration to finish the 3 things I've been ignoring on my GT.
