If it's on bags and it's done right, it can still have a pretty respectable load capacity. Plus, this particular example has been body dropped 6" - that's probably a good bit of the visual lowering for you right there. Also, if it is 2WD it doesn't need a lot of ground clearance.

Don't forget, the point of some cars is simply to look cool (in the owner's eyes). Think of a '32 Ford roadster, for example. They're beautiful, but not practical in the least.

I see you on that... I was just never thought it would be a good idea to lower a practical vehicle like a dually...

practical in what context?  a '32 roadster was pretty practical back in 1932.

Practical in the context of a vehicle on the road today. What are you going to use a deuce roadster for? Going fast in a straight line and looking pretty, cool, or pretty cool.

BTW, here's a pic of the truck in question for those too lazy to click through:

It's running on either a pneumatic or a hydraulic setup.

I think they look good at times.  Personally, I would have chosen a newer body style.  I think the '88-'98 body style looks best dropped like that.  Doesn't look quite right with the chopped top either, maybe if it wasn't as extreme.  It's too wide to sit so low, that makes it look akward to me.

I prefer more like these:
