truthfully i'm glad i ran out of gas because i know exactly where my limit is now.  like i said in my original thread, i have a mk3 gauge cluster in a mk2 car with a mk2 gas tank with a mk2 sending unit.  when i full the tank up it never shows that it's full on the gauge.  it only shows about 3/4.  so, if when full the gauge doesn't go all the way up, i would kind of think that the whole range of indication is scaled down.    i've run the car into the red a number of times and never run out before.  but like i said before, at least i know where my absolute limit is now.

i've also kind of gotten used to the luxury of having an idiot like come on when the gas gets low in the jetta.  i don't have to worry about looking at the gauge 'cause the car tells me when i've got 50 miles left.  i'm not so lucky with the gti.  the only light i get is a constant cel.  ::)

if you run out of gas and you have an idiot light then you're a dumb ass.  lee shouldn't have any problems because his factory washer tank and gas tank have low level sensors.  if he ran out of either then he would be a dumb ass which he's not so no more excuses lee.  you can call me when you'd like to place your order.  ;)

not only are intercoolers more expensive, they only cool the air charge.  water/methanol cools the air charge better than an air-to-air i/c can plus it bumps up your octane.  no i/c can do what water/methanol does.

you remember to put gas in your car right?  why can't you do the same for water/meth?  if you use your factory washer fluid tank to hold the fluid for the injection system then you get a built in low level idiot light.

any other excuses you want to throw out?   ;D

nate whats your intake temp on a normal colorado day when using water meth and moderate driving

when i saw cox's water cooled i/c bring his intake temp to 60 something that was awesome and it didnt cost much either

Status just changed from 1 to B.  For you non-military types (like me in a couple months  ;D), status changed from "awaiting parts" to "in shop" today, 8029.
