I was on the tollway saturday night going towards the SW freeway and the a4 decided to take a shit on me..i was in 5th gear at 3k rpms going 70 and the power just started dying out ,it was like it was going into safe mode almost...I pulled off to the shoulder tried to start it up ,started for 2 sec then died...I got it towed 2 hours later but am still scratching my head to what exactly the problem is...the starter seems fine it just seems to be no fuel is getting to it almost,any ideas?

im back home in houston..every shop is closed today ,after it gets vag'd the problem should show its face

Not neccesarily ... if it's a hard mechanical failure it won't as a rule show up as a code

I'm seconding that. If its not that, check injectors, though thats VERY doubtful because basically all of them would have to fail for the engine not to start.

It could be your timing belt too or plenty of other things

Are you running stock or aftermarket wheels.

As most regulars on 719 know .. the slightest amount of excess wheel weight could upset the balance and extensive engineering that's gone into making your Audi perform in the same manner as an F1 race car.

I agree, the rotating mass is obviously the issue here. Why would the car bother to start if it knew it was going to have to turn some heavy ass wheels? Exactly, it wouldn't.

hey bro just turn ur ignition key and see if ur fuel pump kicks on. have u had a fuel filter change in awhile? it usually won't completely clog but it will wear out that fuel pump if it having to work harder.

it actually started a couple times for 2 seconds then died, ive only had the car since august and have yet to check the fuel filter so the fuel filter may be clogged

I can't confirm this so it should only be taken as a rumor...but rumor has it that the Wheel-shizolator algorithim was completely re-written during our annual "719 forum software change to fix it when it wasn't broke" event.

Just a rumor though..if your car doesn't perform like an F1 car after using the shizolator please don't blame me.
