Sounds pretty reasonable.
What type of warranty does he offer?

What's your estimated cost for the rebuild versus a new or known good used turbo?

Saab Garrett Gt17, but a used one on Fleabay is 345. But know a friend sent me a Fleabay page with a good price on a rebuild kit so I think I will order one and tackle it next weekend. The kit is 60 beans so that is more than reasonable.

turbos have very tight tolerances, and usually, those shitty ebay rebuild kits are exactly that... shitty

i definitely wouldn't suggesting trying to take on a turbo rebuild by yourself.  like barry said, it's an extremely involved process.  quality did my turbo and they did a nice job.  they seem like they know what they're doing and had reasonable rates.  plus, they're the only turbo rebuild shop in the springs.

if your turbo is way way used i wouldn't even bother.  you can get a new one for less than what getting a used one and having it rebuilt would cost you.  if the turbo is in decent shape then it shouldn't be a problem.

o.g.

My turbo is in pretty good shape I just think one of the seals is letting some oil by. On start up I am getting the alittle smoke. And I have done 2 turbos in the last few years with no problem and that was with a Fleabay kit so I guess I will be doing it again. Just got to make sure u put it back togethor the way it was to keep it in balance. Thanks for the input!

Saab 9-5, I have already replaced my PCV with a update kit and cleaned all my Banjo fittings with no luck. Also cleaned out my intercooler after the update. So now all I can guess is a tubro seal.
